Public Safety Supports Breast Cancer Canada

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer is the most diagnosed cancer among Canadian women and an estimated 27,900 Canadians are diagnosed with breast cancer every year.

Did you know that Breast Cancer Canada is a registered, national non-profit charity dedicated to saving lives through breast cancer research since 1991? Money is raised to fund patient-focused research for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of breast cancer.

The Breast Cancer Society of Canada is the only organization in Canada laser focused on breast cancer research because they believe in building on the outstanding progress that’s been made. They do not receive government funding. All research is funded through the generosity of donors.

This year, The Department of Public Safety will support Breast Cancer Canada through monetary donations and have set up a fundraiser page with a goal of raising $1,000. Together, let’s raise more.

If you have the means, please take a moment to contribute what you can. Visit the Raise More Challenge or scan the QR code to donate.

Don't forget to join them on social media all month long. Share your Raise More Challenge photos and videos using the hashtag #RaiseMoreChallenge and remember to tag them!
