Retirement: Mary Vesia

After over 40 years of dedicated service to the Humber College community, Mary Vesia is retiring on June 30, 2022.

During her time at Humber Mary has served in a variety of different roles including:

  • Secretary to the Dean of Applied Arts
  • Peer Tutoring and Disability Assistant, Counselling
  • Project Co-ordinator, Student Development & Articulation

In her current role, as the Dual Credit Project and Financial Co-ordinator, Mary has served as a strong advocate, working tirelessly to secure new opportunities focused on student success for learners in our Dual Credit and Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Programs (OYAP). She is well-respected, hardworking, supportive and shared that what she will miss most, “is feeling the energy that students bring to their Humber experience.”

Retirement holds excitement for Mary as she plans to travel and spend time enjoying the company of her friends and family. While we wish her the best in her new adventures, she will be truly missed by the College community.

Please join me in thanking Mary and for celebrating the numerous and varied contributions that she has made to the Humber College community and most notably to supporting student success over the years.

In kindness,

Christina Meredith
Associate Dean, Pathways Programs
