Support Staff Professional Development 2022

Thank you to all our Humber and University of Guelph-Humber Support Staff who attended the 2022 Support Staff Professional Development virtual event. You continue to go above and beyond in your roles to support colleagues, students, and the community. Thank you!

Our facilitators for the sessions reminded and taught us how we can:

  • Develop the skill of self-confidence to thrive and reach our potential
  • Take personal responsibility for our presence, performance and inner peace
  • Use conflict in a positive manner as a source of growth and opportunity
  • Develop a growth mindset to build resilience and grit
  • Develop techniques for listening and self-expression for effective communication
  • Reflect on our personal boundaries and understand how to maintain those boundaries
  • Break down personal growth into practical ideas and tools
  • Take control of our behaviours and practices to think more clearly, make better decisions, be more productive, build resilience, and have more energy

We would also like to send a big thank you to our ITS team. Without their support, we would not have been able to deliver this event. Special shout out to Joao Silva, Peter Weinzettl, Aidan Pearson, and Greg Schuyler.
