Tanzanian Partners Visit Humber for Knowledge Exchange and Training

Between September 30 and October 4, 2024, the International Development Institute (IDI) hosted partners from Tanzania as part of the Empowerment Through Skills Program (ESP) ESP-04 Project.

During this visit, ESP-04 partners engaged with IDI and Humber faculty and staff from the Faculty of Media, Creative Arts, and Design, Centre for Innovative Learning, Student Success and Engagement, Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology, Longo Faculty of Business, and the Community Outreach and Workforce Development.

Through workshops, demonstrations, discussions, and lab and classroom visits, Tanzanian partners learned about Humber's competency-based education and training methodology (CBET), industry engagement, gender equality, and best practices, which can be replicated in curriculum and training at Folk Development Colleges in Tanzania.

The week brought together Humber and Tanzanian partners for new perspectives, two-way knowledge sharing, and strengthened partnerships.
