Textbook Adoption Reminder for Summer 2018

Dear Humber faculty and textbook decision makers,

This note is a reminder that the bookstore is currently in the process of acquiring books for May 2018. This information was originally requested at the bookstore by March 23rd , 2018. Receiving your list of adopted materials as soon as possible will allow us to source more used books for incoming students, provide top dollar for students finishing the course, and ensures that we have time to locate all of your materials.

Over the past decade publishers have implemented a wide variety of delivery options for their course materials. Each version will have its own unique ISBN as an identifier. The Campus Store has the ability to provide all the options for the majority of materials requested at varying price points.

  • Print textbooks (Hardcover, Soft cover and Loose Leaf)
  • Custom textbooks (reduced chapters or combination of multiple texts into a single volume)
  • Bundles – 2 or more print components or print version with digital access in card or print in the inside cover. Please let us know if access card or printed code is required or recommended for the course. This helps in ordering and what option(s) to give to the students.
  • Digital - PDF or Adaptive Learning version (i.e. MyLab, Connect, Wiley Plus Aplia etc, both with and without ebooks)

To submit your list of adopted materials, please use our online adoption tool at humber.bkstr.ca for North campus and humber-lc.bkstr.ca for Lakeshore Campus. You can find the adoption page by going to the Faculty Services page, and clicking on adoptions. You will be asked to login or register, and will be asked for a password. The password for the North Campus is 947 the password for Lakeshore Campus is 948. If you prefer a printed paper copy of your previous term information, we can provide you with that on request or you may submit it on your spreadsheet or table form that you have created.

I respect that you are in the midst of a busy time in the term, so please let us know if we can assist you in any way. We are here to answer your questions with the book adoption process or during any time of the year. We look forward to receiving your list of adopted materials.

Thank you.
