This summer, wildfires will continue to be a cause for concern affecting environmental air quality and potentially people's health.
Environment Canada's Air Quality Index (AQI) is expected to fluctuate over the coming months and we encourage the Humber community to regularly check the AQI website and take precautions as needed. This may include reducing or rescheduling strenuous activities outdoors if you experience symptoms such as coughing and throat irritation.
To help protect yourself from pollutants, a well-fitted respirator-type mask, such as an N-95, is recommended while outdoors during high risk periods.
Humber College continues to monitor AQI and follow guidance from Environment Canada and Toronto Public Health. Humber is committed to ensuring the health and safety of our community.
Stay safe and be well,
Occupational Health and Safety
