Workshop - Empathic Listening

This workshop will go into detail in empathic listening. You will learn to "read" what the speaker is really saying, not just what their words are saying. Empathic listening and active listening will enable you to develop and enhance relationships for the benefit of everyone involved.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the characteristics of an empathic listener
  • Understand the benefits of empathic listening
  • Demonstrate strategies to respond with empathy
  • Identify and demonstrate how to reflect the content of interpersonal messages
  • Interpret the challenges of non-verbal communication and make them work effectively
