Zero Waste Challenge

The idea for the zero-waste challenge is one jar for one week of waste. You will be challenged to put all your non-recyclable and non-compostable waste for the week destined for a landfill into a 1L mason jar (or something resembling this). We generate a lot of waste in our lives on a daily basis, so the purpose of the challenge is about realizing this issue and changing our lifestyle, one week at a time, to greatly reduce the amount of waste we create.

Register for the challenge here.

Registration is open until Sunday, March 24, 11:59 p.m. Once you register, make sure to keep us updated on your progress throughout the week using the hashtag #ZeroWasteHumber and don't forget to tag @SustainHumber on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. At the end of the week, prizes will be awarded to the top three participants with the leaste amount of waste in their jars. Head to the registration link to find out what the prizes are!
