Have you missed our previous announcements?
Don’t know what HRMS is?

The Human Resource Management System (HRMS), is a new Human Capital Management fully integrated, cloud based system that will replace Humber's existing legacy system. The new HRMS will serve as a central source of information for all HR related processes and programs, making it accessible to staff, faculty and other stakeholders through their computer, on or off campus.

Once deployed, the new HRMS provides access to core HR functions, based on your profile as a manager or an employee. Some functionality includes:

  • Entering and tracking attendance
  • Benefits enrollment
  • Entering and approving time
  • Talent management (Which includes Recruitment)
  • And much more!

This would allow HR to:

  • Become Better business partners to faculties and departments
  • Deliver real-time data & information that will improve decision-making
  • Have enhanced reporting capability
  • Streamline processes to enable faster transactions

For managers and employees, the direct access functionality will become the new way of interacting with HR giving you the flexibility, autonomy and a sense of ownership for a better overall manager and employee experience.

As we get ready to ‘Go Live’ all impacted stakeholders will be receiving training information to ensure that the transition to the new HRMS is easy and seamless.

To find out more about the HRMS, contact the HRMS Change Management Team at HRMSChangeTeam@humber.ca.

The Fund for Innovation and Transformation (FIT) is a program of the Inter-Council Network of Provincial and Regional Councils (ICN) made possible through funding from Global Affairs Canada and administered by the Manitoba Council for International Cooperation (MCIC).

FIT is designed to support Canadian small and medium-sized organizations (SMOs) testing innovative solutions that advance gender equality in the Global South. The program is open to civil society organizations, social enterprises, post-secondary institutions and the private sector.

FIT will provide successful applicants with $150,000 to $250,000 over a 6-15 month period to test their solutions in partnership with local organizations. The multi-year program aims to fund 50-70 initiatives overall.

In addition, the program seeks to foster collective learning and build the capacity of SMOs through the creation of knowledge-sharing spaces and practices. FIT’s goal is to cultivate a working environment in which SMOs are empowered to experiment, fail, adapt and try again.

  • Applicants must be at the testing phase of their innovative solution. (General development projects do not qualify).
  • Applicants must be willing to share/license intellectual property with the Government of Canada.
  • Proposed projects must be implemented in a country that is eligible for Official Development Assistance (ODA). See OECD list of eligible countries.
  • Proposed projects must not involve any construction (e.g. building a new structure or rehabilitating an existing structure).
