Please be advised that Information Technology Services will be upgrading Humber’s central login screens in two weeks.

The login screens are being upgraded to reflect Humber’s new branding and to enable a more positive login experience.

The update affects all systems using Humber’s central login service including MyHumber, Blackboard, Wiki, Exchange, WiFi, and HMail.

Also included in the upgrade will be the ability to provide feedback (password has expired, account is disabled, etc.) during failed login attempts.

The update will be carried out at 10:00 p.m. on February 16th and is not expected to interrupt the delivery of any technical services.

The School of Creative and Performing Arts is pleased to announce Collin Barrett has successfully completed his Master of Arts (Composition) at York University upon defending his thesis, “Calypso: Tradition and Creativity,” on November 16, 2015. Collin was supervised by composer-producer Michael Coghlan and his defense was chaired by Al Henderson.

Collin has considerable expertise in fusing calypso and jazz, and is a much-sought after bassist. He has performed with Leonard Cohen, Jully Black, The Parachute Club, Randy Brecker, The Montuno Police, Holly Cole, Brian Hughes, and Amy Sky. He is also musical director for Eva Avila and Esthero.

A six-year veteran of Humber’s Bachelor of Music faculty and a highly dedicated teacher, Collin is currently working on various projects as a producer, engineer and musician.

Congratulations, Collin, on your achievement!

Queen's Plate Lot Closure 


Parking for Humber’s Queen’s Plate off-campus parking lot will be closing as of February 15th, 2016. In addition to this, the shuttle service will be suspended for the duration of the closure. 

Pay customers who regularly park at the Queen’s Plate lot can use the on-campus Pay-on-Exit lots. Permit holders may park in Lots 1 and 13.

Parking and shuttle services will resume on February 22nd, 2016.

If you use Humber’s central answer sheet scanning service, please be advised the pick-up and drop-off location at North is changing. 

As discussed at Academic & Educational Technology Committee, pick-up and drop-off at North will soon be moving to NX210.

The change will take place February 29th to improve pick-up and drop-off security and free up E-wing space for Backfill purposes.

Individuals using the answer sheet scanning service at Lakeshore may continue to use A212 for drop-off and pick-up purposes.

Guest Parking Submissions should be sent to the web link below- one of our staff monitors these submissions in order to provide you with a prompt response. Requests should be made two business days' prior to the guest's arrival. 

Note that Humber staff, faculty, and contractors that are being compensated for their time are not eligible for complimentary parking.
Complimentary guest parking is provided at the discretion of the Department of Public Safety.
