Please join us on Thursday, August 10 at 10 a.m. for the CCBI & Humber Galleries Fellowship program final presentations to see and hear about the fellows' experience this summer and what they produced over the last 14 weeks.

You will hear from all fellows, creative producers, and project leads involved in:

• The Intercultural and Creative Music Fellowship in partnership with the Aga Khan Museum,
• The Tiny T.O. Fellowship in partnership with The City of Toronto,
• The Nuit Blanche Fellowship in partnership with Nuit Blanche Toronto,
• The Graphic Medicine Fellowship in partnership with the Asclepius Snakebite Foundation
• The Culture’s Compass Fellowship in partnership with Small World Music

The presentations will be given in a hybrid format with presenters and audience members joining both in person and online. If you are unable to view the presentations live over zoom (link below), a recording will be available following the event.

The fourth semester baking students create, perfect and then sell their product through Gourmet Express.

The items will be made on Tuesday, August 8 and will be available mid afternoon until August 11.

Numbers will be limited so grab them while they are fresh.

Humber Arboretum day camps are based out of the Centre for Urban Ecology, but campers spend most of their time outdoors where they make their own discoveries in the forest, river, meadows, wetlands, gardens, and ponds of the Humber Arboretum. 

Every week at Humber Arboretum Nature Camp includes nature walks, pond discovery, art and ecology, camp songs and games, and indoor swimming on Fridays. The weekly theme inspires other activities.

Tune in to Nature - Tuesday, August 8 to Friday, August 11, 2023

This week Beaver campers will use their senses to explore the wonders that nature has to offer! Hands-on activities will help campers better understand how humans and animals use their senses to engage with their surroundings.

(*We are closed on Monday for the Civic Holiday.)

• Beaver Camp is for age 5 only

Location: Humber Arboretum (at the back of North Campus)

Time: Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Drop-off window 8:30 a.m to 9 a.m.; Pick-up window: 3:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.)

Cost: $280 for the four-day week

Jeremy Staples has been a post-secondary educational leader for almost 30 years. His work focused on developing opportunities that created exceptional student learning experiences, prioritizing the development of the students’ critical, creative and reflective thinking capacity to prepare them for the workplace demands of the 21st Century.  An advocate of the importance of a growth mindset and learning, Jeremy has collaborated with a variety of teams to create innovative programs that develop self-awareness and an understanding of others as drivers of change. In 2017, Jeremy started a consultancy focused on developing the capacity of individuals and teams to navigate the new world of work through adopting a growth mindset, leaning into the discomfort associated with creativity, and building cohesive teams to build healthy organizational cultures.
