We’re inviting learners to embrace their full potential with the launch of a bold new brand campaign - one that truly puts the YOU in Humber - and the impact the entire Humber community has on helping our students find their inner selves.

Humber will unveil the new campaign at our three campuses over two days at North, Lakeshore and Downtown.

Know any high school students? Tell them about our three-day workshop at the Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship; Longo Family Be Your Own Boss!

Participants will build essential business skills, collaborate with peers, and tackle a real-world challenge with Humber Polytechnic’s Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship. Plus, they will become eligible to apply for a $1,500 scholarship to support their future college and university applications.

Innovative Learning invites you to attend two thought-provoking AI keynote addresses that will engage participants to examine the ethical adoption of AI in education and explore how Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Generative AI are transforming the field of higher education.

Empowering Education Ethically: Practical AI Use Cases, Privacy, and Copyright in the Classroom
Speaker: Dr. Janet Corral
Date: Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

In this engaging and interactive keynote, participants will explore the ethical adoption of AI in education through practical, real-world applications. They will examine privacy, copyright, and equitable algorithms and access, with a focus on actionable strategies that enhance teaching and learning. Drawing from examples like AI-generated video and audio, virtual reality and role-play characters for curriculum and assessment, the session invites attendees to share their professional and personal experiences with AI. By the end, participants will leave with innovative approaches that align with ethical guidelines, ensure compliance with copyright laws, and safeguard student privacy in our ever-evolving professional landscape.

Evolving Landscapes: UDL in the Time of Generative AI

Date: Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

In this interactive keynote, participants will explore how Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Generative AI are reshaping the landscape of higher education. By merging UDL’s principles of inclusivity, flexibility, and learner empowerment with the transformative potential of Generative AI, educators can more efficiently and effectively design adaptive, accessible, and innovative learning environments that meet the diverse needs of students. Likewise, by enabling learners to use AI tools in structured and semi-structured ways, instructors can help guide effective, ethical, and forward-looking usage of generative AI for learning and professional applications.
