Playing varsity sports at any age is a great accomplishment for an athlete, and for many, it's the pinnacle of hard work and dedication that started as early as they could walk. Competing at the varisty level requires student athletes to put in countless hours of extra effort, knowing that they are expected to deliver on the field of play as well as in the classroom. In the end, it's an experience that can be remembered and cherished long after playing careers are over.

This weekend - Friday, September 22nd through Sunday, September 24th - is a special milestone for the Humber community as we will be celebrating 50 years of Humber Athletics. It's also an opportunity for us to celebrate the best of the best, explore the rich history of athletics at Humber and bring together several generations of athletes, teams, coaches and staff. Here's a snapshot of the events happening this weekend - we hope to see you there!

The Work Placement Services team in the School of Applied Technology will be hosting its annual Employer Appreciation Event. This is an opportunity for the school’s faculty and staff to acknowledge all of our employers who made a valuable contribution to student learning and success over the summer 2017 work term, and say “well done” to the students who had a successful placement.

Students will be awarded certificates that reflect their achievement. This event will also be an excellent opportunity for employers to meet faculty and staff, including the new dean, Farzad Rayegani, view student projects and learn about Applied Research and Humber’s Centre for Technology Innovation.
