Interested in Friday's Scholars' Cafe, but located at the Lakeshore Campus? No problem!

There will be a satellite scholars' cafe this Friday, September 8 at 10:00 a.m. in F103. We will teleconference in to the North Campus to join in on the conversation.

As a reminder, the scholars' cafe is a new CTL initiative this fall. It's a chance to meet with other faculty over coffee, to discuss the latest in the teaching and learning literature. It's like a book club, but for journal articles. The scholarly paper up for discussion this month can be found here: journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/1052562912474894#articleShareContainer

To register, click here: humber.ca/centreforteachingandlearning/register.html?form=2&event=2860

We look forward to chatting on Friday!

Calling all innovative educators who are looking to try out some new strategies in their teaching. Cutting EDge is back! In Version 2.0, our theme is "Group work: Redesigned, Redefined".

What IS Cutting EDge?

Cutting EDge is a research project where faculty come together to learn new innovative teaching strategies/tools/techniques focused around a theme. Once faculty have mastered the new strategies, they deploy them in their classrooms, with on-site support from the CTL's Professional Learning and e-Learning teams. Then, the CTL's Research team gathers evidence from faculty and their students on the impact of the innovative new teaching approaches.
