Come out for an evening of live entertainment, salsa lessons, a salsa performance and more!

All while having a spicy night out, your purchase of a ticket and participation in other exciting games goes towards helping raise funds for two very important charities; Dancing with Parkinson’s and the Humber College Scholarship Fund. Dancing with Parkinson’s mission is to provide a fun, safe environment where those with Parkinson’s disease can celebrate the artistry and potential of their own movement through specialized dance classes.

Last semester, Adam Thomas (SMSIT) tried something innovative and new with his students: he taught them how to code using board games and Lego robots. With support from the Teaching Innovation Fund, Adam investigated the impact of this idea on his students’ engagement and learning. What did he discover? Please join us for a Draw-a-thon at the Humber Art Commons. All members of the Humber Community, both experienced and inexperienced drawers are welcome to partake in a day of life drawing. This fundraiser event is taking place to honour Jamie Simmons, a second-year Visual and Digital Arts student who passed away in December 2013. Money raised will contribute to an award in Jamie's name for future Visual and Digital Arts students requiring financial assistance.

Space is limited - reserve your spot today!

Lunch will be provided to participants.

What to Bring: Drawing materials (pencils, pens, chalks), paper

Retirement Planning Session

You are invited to attend a retirement planning session at Sheridan College Conference Centre on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

  • How much money do I need to retire?
  • How much pension will I get?
  • Is my pension secure?
  • How do I prepare for retirement?

If these questions have ever crossed your mind, you should attend the upcoming retirement planning session.

The Saturday retirement planning session will be led by Derek Dobson, pension expert and CEO of the CAAT Pension Plan. He’ll answer the questions members ask about retiring. During Derek’s presentation, you’ll learn about the Plan’s benefits, including flexible retirement date options, valuable survivor benefits, and inflation protection. The session uses real-world examples and retirement planning tips to help ensure a smooth transition to retirement.

Representatives from the CAAT Pension Plan will be available to answer your questions after the presentation.

The session is free of charge, and open to CAAT Pension Plan members and their guests. Spaces are limited.

Not thinking about retirement yet?
This session will benefit members of any age, and we strongly encourage all members over 50 to attend.

How helpful is the session?
Over 90% of members who have already attended a CAAT Plan retirement planning session say they would recommend it to others. Attendees will receive a free retirement planning workbook.
