Instructors, Staff & Students,
Academic Services invites you to attend the second of two Winter 2016 Lecture Series events, featuring Prof. Kim O’Toole from the Justice Studies program at the University of Guelph-Humber.
If someone invited you to travel to Afghanistan to participate in its peacekeeping mission, what would your answer be? For Toronto Police Service staff sergeant, Kim O’Toole, the answer was obvious—Yes!
But her experience on this journey was not what she expected, causing her to reflect on the moral dilemma she struggles with to this day.
Sit in on Kim’s lecture, entitled “Peacekeeping in Afghanistan - My Moral Dilemma”, as she shares her involvement in a peacekeeping mission as a human rights advisor and rule of law expert. Hear her story, share in her struggles and learn more about her life-altering experience in one of Afghanistan’s most populous cities.
Please join us on Thursday, March 10th, 2016 for Kim O’Toole’s lecture: “Peacekeeping in Afghanistan - My Moral Dilemma” with a light lunch.
Registration is very limited! Please RSVP to academicservices@guelphhumber.ca and state any dietary restrictions.
We look forward to seeing you there!
