Dive into the details of all the incredible benefits your CAAT pension provides. This session is great for new members who have been in the plan for 5 years or less or any members who want to know why their pension is a big deal! 

Members will learn about: 

• How the value of members’ pension will exceed the contributions they pay 
• All their retirement options, including flexible early retirement options 
• Other valuable features of the Plan, like survivor benefits, and inflation protection

Retirement Planning Webinar 

Ready for retirement? Join this session for the answers to the questions members ask most when preparing to retire. It's never too early or too late to start planning for that next stage. This webinar is applicable to all members in DBprime and DBplus and covers the following and more: 

• How much pension will I get? 
• Is my pension secure? 
• What do I do to start my retirement?

The session is expected to be 60 minutes in length including plenty of time for questions.

While honeybees are struggling in rural environments, they've been thriving in urban ones. If you've been thinking of taking up urban beekeeping, this introduction to the challenges and opportunities of keeping bees in the city is for you.

Topics covered include, honeybee anatomy and behaviour, personal philosophy behind the course, site selection, necessary equipment, laws and registration, and the beekeeping year. You'll be learning from the beekeepers who care for both the Humber Arboretum and Humber College hives.

Location: Online via Zoom (online presentations include live chat and Q&A)

When: February 5, 6 and 7 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:10 p.m.

(Not available in the evenings? There is also a weekend option on February 17 and 18)

2024 Fee: $105.00 plus HST ($118.65)

This course may be taken individually or as part of the Sustainable Urban Beekeeping certificate series.
