RESEARCH ROUNDS: BUILDING A RESEARCH PROFILE

October 3, 2013 12:45-1:30 pm

President's Boardroom

Featuring: Bernie Monette

Program Coordinator, Web Development, Media Studies & Information Technology

Faculty member Bernie Monette will discuss the critical steps to building a research profile at Humber. Bernie has participated in many successful research projects, both internally and externally funded, and has successfully worked with students and industry partners.

When asked about his motivation to be involved in research, Monette says, It۪s a good opportunity to match what we۪re doing in the program with what people are doing in the industry, creating products that will provide a benefit to Humber۪s industry partners and students in the program.۝

Bernie will discuss the many access points to research, the timing and trajectory of an evolving project, and the necessary steps to take in order to build a research profile and engage in industry innovation.

Refreshments will be served

We all spend time working and interacting in groups and sometimes the experience is not as positive as we want it to be. In this useful workshop, students will learn about group theory, how it applies to group work and acquire valuable strategies to help create better group dynamics.
