Products of the Hive - Sustainable Urban Beekeeping Workshops

Are you interested in learning how honey is harvested and jarred in a small-scale apiary? The next workshop in the Humber Arboretum's Sustainable Urban Beekeeping series is "Products of the Hive" which can be taken as part of the certificate or as a stand-alone workshop for $75.

There are two sessions coming up - one this Saturday, July 22nd and another on Sunday, August 13th.

Rob Brar, Public Safety Coordinator (North Campus)

The Department of Public Safety is pleased to welcome Rob Brar as the newest member of our team. Rob has joined the North Campus team as a Public Safety Coordinator, reporting to Nancy Deason. Rob joined us after having spent the past six years as Supervisor with Primary Response at their Sheridan College Davis Campus in Brampton. Rob is also a recent Humber College graduate (2016) from the Business Administration Advanced Diploma program. Retirement Announcement - Rick Follert

Rick Follert joined Humber following a distinguished career with Toronto Police Services and has been the Manager, Public Safety, Lakeshore Campus since 2012. Rick has played an important role in establishing the ongoing service levels at the Lakeshore campus and was instrumental in the implementation of our security reporting and dispatch software platforms. We are pleased that Rick will continue to share his expertise with Humber through contract teaching with the School of Social and Community Services. Rick’s last day with the Department of Public Safety will be August 31

Asphalt Repairs - North Campus

Notice: Asphalt repairs are scheduled throughout North Campus from July 24 to 26 weather pending. There maybe some disruptions in traffic from time to time but it should be minimal.

There are various road and parking lot repairs to be done.

Bus Loop - Concrete Curb Repairs

Notice: We will be doing concrete curb repairs along the south side of Spruce Vista in the area of the Bus Loop on Saturday, July 22.

There is also a section of sidewalk and curbing to be repaired exiting Silverbell Lane at Humber College Blvd. There will be very little impact on bus traffic in these areas that are affected.
