Did you know that Student Life’s Leadership Program offers leadership workshops by request?

The Workshop By Request Program allows staff and faculty to easily request leadership workshops to be facilitated in the classroom or student training sessions by a professional staff member. Staff and faculty can select from the list of available workshop offerings, including:

“Elevate Your Career at Humber” – the first career expo organized in collaboration between Humber College and the Humber River Hospital – was a great success! Humber Community Employment Services would like to sincerely thank everyone at the college who supported this event. There were over 340 candidates register for the event as a result of your referrals!

Concrete Construction - North Campus

As the summer season is upon us so is the construction. Concrete repairs have begun in various areas around the North Campus as of July 5 and is expected to be completed by Friday, July 7 weather pending.

All areas that are affected due to the repairs should be accessibile by Monday, July 10.

Centre for Healthy Living Joins Longo's at 2017 Inside Ride Fundraiser

On Wednesday, July 5th Humber's Centre for Healthy Living joined Longo's at their head office for the Inside Ride Fundraiser. The Inside Ride is Canada's indoor cycling challenge that raises funds in support of children and their families living with and beyond childhood cancer. Many teams of six from various Longo's stores participated in this cycling challenge. Overall, Longo's stores raised approximately $64,000 for the Inside Ride fundraiser.

Deep Diversity Learning Series: Uncovering Our Bias and Blind Spots

The Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Diversity Presents Deep Diversity – Learning Series: Uncovering Our Bias and Blind Spots

November 9, 23 & 28, 2017 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 

Individuals who are interested in attending this series are required to commit to attend all three sessions. All participants will be provided with a copy of the text Deep Diversity and are required to read it prior to attending the workshop.

Thinking Outside the Box Workshop

Continuing Education with the School of Hospitality, Recreation & Tourism proudly welcomed the Delta Family Resource Centre on Wednesday, July 5th for the first day of its “Thinking Outside the Box” workshop. The main objective of this program is to give high school students who experience barriers in their lives that might prevent them from going to post-secondary education an opportunity to experience college. Continuing Education with the School of HRT aims to inform students about the different programs offered and inspire students to pursue post-secondary education.
