Student Project Exhibition Electronics Engineering

This event is open to all Humber students, faculty and staff, and the public. Drop by and see the amazing work of a Humber Electronics Engineering student. Featuring:
  • The in-progress work of one of our students. This student is designing a fixed dc power supply, which outputs 3 voltages. It uses the dc-dc converter topology known as the push-pull converter, and the output will incorporate a buck boost converter.
For demonstration purposes, users of smartphones will be able to charge their device, as a proof of concept.

Radio Humber Hall of Fame 2017 Live Stream

Radio Humber will be inducting esteemed alumni into the Radio Humber Hall of Fame tonight live at 8 p.m. on their YouTube channel.  The inductees include:
  • Adam Wylde (Breakfast Television Entertainment Reporter & Host of The Adam Wylde Show on KISS 92.5)
  • Amber Payne (Traffic Specialist for CP24 & CHUM FM)
  • Brad Barker (Music Director & Announcer for JAZZ FM)
  • Maurie Sherman (Producer of Roz & Mocha Show on KISS 92.5)

R.A.D. Self Defense Training

Humber College will be holding a R.A.D. Self Defense Training session on Friday, April 7 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the North Campus in A227. You will learn a basic introduction to self-defense and advanced escape methods. It is a $500 training session BUT completely free for female Humber/Guelph-Humber students and staff/faculty! It will be a great workout and learning experience. If you are interested in taking part please email jasjeet.bal@humber.ca to register.

York Regional Police Career Expo 2017

York Regional Police (YRP) will be at University of Guelph-Humber on Thursday, March 30 for the YRP Career Expo 2017. Students are invited to attend a unique information session to learn more about a career at York Regional Police. They will gain valuable insight about the recruitment process and will then have the opportunity to practice the fitness PIN test. Alissa Firth-Eagland, Humber Curator

It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Alissa Firth-Eagland to the role of Humber Curator. Alissa brings extensive experience as a curator, writer, and arts administrator who deeply values the sharing and decentralization of culture. Alissa has extensive experience in developing local and international projects, contemporary arts, community development, multimedia, equity practices, cultural mediation, critical writing, publishing, and alternative forms of learning.
