mAPPing the Territory: Youth Led Talk & Tour

As a part of the ‘mAPPing the Territory’ exhibition Humber Galleries will be hosting a youth led talk and tour. Youth who participated in the project will be on site to answer questions and walk people through the process of what it took to develop the exhitbition from concept to completion. 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Talk and Tour 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Questions This event will also be a part of the Myseum Etobicoke Shuttle Bus.

A Seed of Green: An Urban Ecology Showcase

Come and experience a one-day only pop-museum at the Centre for Urban Ecology at Earth Week 2017! Explore the world inside our glass building. Learn about sustainable design secrets, local landscape quirks, and the evolution of ecology at our exhibit. The event will be running as a drop in between 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., and we will also be offering guided tours. We will be hosting the tours with our Nature Interpreters at the following times:  
  • 10:15 a.m.
  • 11:45 a.m.
  • 1:45 p.m.
  • 3:00 p.m.
  • 4:30 p.m.

12th Annual Humber 5K Fun Run/Walk

In 2016, the Fitness and Health Promotion Program, School of Hospitality, Recreation & Tourism, sadly lost one of our students to the blood cancer Leukemia. This year's annual 5K Fun Run/Walk is in honor of Kyle Hoseman and we will be raising funds for the LLSC (Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada). The LLSC is donating lanterns (Red for treatment, White for Survivors, Gold for those that have passed) for us to carry. They will be limited so please contact me if you would like to carry one in support of someone you know.  Below are the event's details.

RCMP Career Exhibition

Representatives from Royal Canadian Mounted Police will be at University of Guelph-Humber on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Atrium (1st floor). Please share this event with your students and encourage them to attend. No pre-registration is required. Speak to representatives from the following RCMP units: •    Explosives Disposal Unit •    Financial Crime •    Police Dog Services •    Tactical Troop •    Recruiting •    Chemical Diversion Unit •    Emergency Medical Response Team •    Crisis Negotiator Team •    Marine Services Enforcement Team e PARE

LUCID Opening Reception

Join the graduating Media Studies students for a luminous evening as they celebrate their accomplishments and showcase the skills they have learned over the past two years. The gallery will feature photography, videography, design and writing by the talented graduating class.
