Dear Colleagues, On behalf of Stephen Allen and the entire English Language Centre team, I’m pleased to announce that Irene Kosmas is the successful candidate in our recent posting for the position of Acting Director of the Humber, English Language Centre (ELC), effective April 3rd, 2017. Irene has extensive experience in the ESOL, EAP and TESL worlds and will be an excellent addition to the ELC as the program develops both at Humber and offshore. 

Meet Canada's great young inventors! I³- Investigate! Invent! Innovate! is an integrated and fun math, science, and technology program for Grades 7 and 8 students. The goal of I³ is to instill a passion for math, science and technology and to foster innovative thinking. Students identify problems in their daily lives and invent products or processes to solve those problems based on concepts they learn in class. The program culminates with annual Invention Conventions in the various Canadian cities involved in the program.

All members of the Humber community are invited to the Eastern Kew Beaches in Toronto to view the Humber students' Winterstations Design, part of the annual international competition that see the lifeguard posts transformed into dynamic sculptures during the winter months. The final week to view the winterstations installations will close on March 27th. To celebrate the great success of the creative team made up of students from both Media Studies and IT and Applied Tech, a video documenting the process was produced by Black Cat advertising.
