Humber Research Series: Quantitative Methods & Analysis

In this session, we will provide an overview of common quantitative research methods used in Teaching and Learning Research. We will set you up for success by sharing best practices and helpful tips. At the end, we will provide an opportunity for one-on-one consultations, for those that have a particular quantitative data set that they need to analyze. This is the 9th session in Humber's Research Series, hosted jointly by the Centre for Teaching and Learning and Applied Research and Innovation. Message from Toronto Public Health

Toronto Public Health (TPH) has been investigating an outbreak of mumps in the city. A majority of cases are among young adults aged 18-35, and have included students at Toronto universities and colleges. Outbreaks of mumps on postsecondary campuses have also been seen in other parts of Canada and the United States.

Discover the Process Behind the AdCentre's Winning Work!

Prepare to discover the latest creative work from Humber’s School of Media studies and Information Technology students at the annual Pixel Perfect showcase, April 4th to 8th in the Humber AdCentre located in room F116A. Opening the exhibit on the night of April 3rd will be a reception for Humber’s AdCentre Clients, Industry professionals, Faculty and Winning students to take first glance at the evolution of the exhibit.  

A Seed of Green: An Urban Ecology Showcase for Humber Earth Week

Location: The Humber Arboretum’s Centre for Urban Ecology Come and experience a one-day only pop-museum at the Centre for Urban Ecology at Earth week 2017! Explore the world inside our glass building. Learn about sustainable design secrets, local landscape quirks, and the evolution of ecology at our exhibit. The event will be running as a drop in between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm, and we will also be offering guided tours. We will be hosting the tours with our Nature Interpreters at the following times:  
  • 10:15 a.m.
  • 11:45 a.m.
  • 1:45 p.m.
  • 3:00 p.m.
