CTL: Tech Talk - Free Digital Tools for Teachers

This workshop will cover a number of useful, fun and, most importantly, free utilities that instructors can use in the classroom. Freeware enables faculty to create dynamic classroom lectures, robust online content and engaging assignments by using free, tested, stable software. Spend an hour with a member of the eLearning team as we explore how free software can enhance your teaching experiences.

Drop off your gently used household items and help make HRT’s Green Team’s WHITE ELEPHANT SWAP a success! What are we looking for?
  • Office Supplies: such as binders, notebooks folders, pens, pencils etc.
  • Kitchen Supplies: clean- gently used toasters, cutlery, pots, pans, etc.
  • Household Slightly Used Items: Artwork, Lamps, Flower Vases, etc.
  • Newer Electronic Devices: Printers, computer speakers, mouse, etc.

Changes Regarding Eligibility of Osteopathic Providers

Please note that our benefits provider, Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada conducts eligibility reviews of health providers and their affiliated associations on an ongoing basis. Sun Life no longer recognizes services by osteopathic providers registered with a number of osteopathic associations. Network Nights

Every Thursday in March for the next three weeks the Humber Fashion Arts and business students will be holding a networking event at North Campus in room H316 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  All students are encouraged to connect, collaborate, create, and compete to win $1,000 to finance their own photo shoot. Please bring your business cards and ideas to our first Networking Night on Thursday, March 9th.

Bringing in the Bystander Training for Staff & Faculty

The Bringing in the Bystander program teaches bystanders how to safely intervene in instances where an incident may be occurring or where there may be risk. Through in-depth discussion of issues and role-playing of common violence scenarios, participants come to understand how they play a part in proactively preventing sexual and relationship violence, how they can help survivors get the help and support they need, and how they can contribute to the creation of a campus climate that reflects a commitment to safety for all.
