President's Lecture Series: Steph Guthrie

Our current political climate is increasingly revealing the symbiotic relationship between bigoted words, actions and policies. When media outlets, learning institutions and technology companies give hateful words a platform under the guise of “objectivity,” they treat human rights as a matter of abstract theoretical debate. Such abstraction, partially predicated on the false idea that words do not cause harm, has immediate material consequences for marginalized people.

The Purpose/Rationale statement outlined in Humber’s Gender Diversity Policy establishes the commitment of Humber College and the University of Guelph-Humber to ensure that all its members are treated fairly, equitably, and respectfully, in order to provide a learning, living and working environment that is free from discrimination and harassment on the basis of gender identity and gender expression.

Request for Donations: HRT Annual Bucks4Books

Donate your used books and help make HRT's Green Team's Bucks4Books drive a succeess! Recycle your books* by bringing them to Antonio Folino in B104 at North Campus before Friday, March 24, 2017. Donated books will be available for distribution on: Tuesday, March 28, 2017 outside of Gourmet Express at the North Campus from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We will be asking for a small monetary donation per book. Proceeds will be donated to HRT Service Learning Nunavut Trip in support of community development initiatives in the Hamlet of Arivat.

2017 Student Appreciation Awards

The Annual Student Appreciation Awards recognizes students, faculty, staff and administrators who exemplify selfless dedication and excellence.

Archibus Work Order System

CDFM will be launching their New Work Order and Space Management Platform, Archibus on March 5 - 7, 2017. Archibus will completely replace the legacy Facilities Management Pervidi Work Order System. Archibus will provide users with a more robust Building Operations Console for monitoring of Work Requests. It will also provide access to current CDFM Campus Floorplans and Departmental Space allocation data.Moving forward many more features and applications will become availiblefor clients staff and students through this platform.
