Global Summer School

The International Centre is pleased to announce the launch of Humber’s first Global Summer School, which will run at the North and Lakeshore Campuses from July 5 to 27, 2019.

“Humber’s Global Summer School offers a condensed semester experience for both Humber and non-Humber students and faculty from around the world to collaborate in Toronto with industry and faculty leaders on creative solutions to local, national and global issues,” says Rebecca Fitzgerald, Manager, International Mobility and Partnerships.

Eight courses are included in the inaugural 2019 program, in partnership with the Schools of Applied Technology; the Business School; Health Sciences; Liberal Arts & Sciences; Media Studies; and Social and Community Services:

  1. Children, Play and Creativity
  2. Designing Transmedia Interfaces
  3. International Teaching Effectiveness Certificate
  4. Social Media
  5. Socially Sustainable Development in Toronto
  6. Systemic Design for Social Innovation
  7. Summer Language Program
  8. Transformational Leadership and Advocacy

The Global Summer School enhances Humber’s strategic pillars to foster career-ready citizens and provide accessible education allowing students greater choice and flexibility in their learning. It also supports Humber’s Internationalization Strategy to “Be the polytechnic institution of choice for the academically curious and creative from around the world to learn from, and contribute to the Humber community.”
