Youth in Action: Opportunities in Sustainability
Students across Ontario are welcome to join a networking and storytelling event that highlights youth action in sustainability and showcases various career and volunteer opportunities to join. Other participating institutions include the University of Waterloo, the University of Guelph. Featured organizations to network with include: Apathy is Boring, World Wildlife Fund Canada, Youth Challenge International, ReImagine 17, and more!

Two-Eyed Seeing Workshop
Join Lynn Short and Louise Zimanyi for a walk together to connect to and with the Land and Water of the Humber Arboretum. We will look for signs of Ziigwan (Spring), listen to the story about Grandmother Maple and a Maple Teaching, taste sap, and learn more about how Early Childhood Education students engage spirit, heart, mind and body in a new Two-Eyed Land-Based Play and Co-Learning course.

Storytelling Workshop - Tell Your Climate Story
Coming together to share our experiences and emotions related to climate change can strengthen feelings of connection and belonging that can help deal with eco-anxiety. Storytelling is an important part of imagining and co-creating a sustainable world for all. Join Climate Illustrated in this interactive workshop where you’ll have the opportunity to practice storytelling and deep listening in a safe and supportive environment. You will be presented with concrete examples and guidelines for how to write an engaging personal story.

Advocacy in Sustainability: Student Showcase
In 2022, Humber launched a new course in the BA Community Development program called Environmental Advocacy, Justice and Sustainability. Join students from this course who will be presenting their final projects which are advocacy campaigns for nature conservation and healthy communities.
