Incorporate Healthy Breaks@Humber Sessions into Classes and Meetings this Winter Semester

Dear faculty and admin staff,

The Healthy Breaks@Humber offered through the Centre for Innovation in Health and Wellness (CIHW) is another exciting initiative towards supporting a healthy campus culture. We are offering either a short ‘mindfulness’ or ‘movement’ in one – or more - of your upcoming faculty/leadership meetings or classes. 

Taking a healthy break for a few minutes can increase productivity, lessen body aches and pains, improve creativity, and increase engagement. Healthy breaks can help improve mental health, lower anxiety, and help refocus the mind.

If you have a meeting or a class that is 1.5 hours or more during the winter semester, we encourage you to schedule a healthy break to energize the body and the mind for your students or colleagues.
