Hello Humber community,
I am pleased and excited to announce that Ariel Lewis will be moving into the role of Administration and Communications Coordinator for FSCS and the Humber Lakeshore Principal’s Office, effective Monday, August 7, 2023. Ariel joined Humber College in November of 2022 as a Program Support Officer with the FSCS, supporting the social portfolio programs. In the Program Support Officer role, Ariel provided a comprehensive range of support and leadership services to faculty and staff and gained a valuable understanding of Humber College landscape. Since joining Humber in 2022, she has been a dedicated, driven, and enthusiastic member of the faculty and the larger Humber Lakeshore community, involved in a variety of projects including volunteering with Humber’s GARDENS Pod Project and at LAMP Community Health Centre. As the Administration and Communications Coordinator, Ariel will be responsible for strategic communications, confidential and complex administrative support and leadership, coordination and oversight of various committees and regularly occurring meetings and liaising with internal and external stakeholders for projects and communications.
Ariel brings several years of experience in communications, event management, and post-secondary administration to the role, working for institutions including Centennial College, the University of Toronto, and CBC/Radio Canada. She has excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, which will help her excel in this role. Ariel has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Toronto and is also a Humber alumnus, having completed a postgraduate certificate in Radio Broadcasting.
Please join me in welcoming Ariel to her new role!
