Reminder for Faculty: It's the Last Week of the Student Feedback Questionnaire (SFQ) for 14-Week Courses

This Fall 2025 semester, the Student Feedback Questionnaire is available from November 17 to December 7, 2025; we are in the last week of this period! The Student Feedback Questionnaire (SFQ) is Humber’s primary mechanism for collecting anonymous student feedback on the learning experience in each course, every semester. This process reinforces Humber's shared commitment to academic quality and reflective teaching practice and facilitates the continuous improvement of the student learning experience by using insights gathered from the students' responses. SFQ results are confidential and are not used in employment or contract negotiations. This process reinforces our shared commitment to academic quality and reflective teaching practice.

Over the past two weeks, you should have received automated updates about student participation rates to help you gauge engagement if you are currently teaching a 14-week course.

If you notice that participating in the SFQ is low in your course(s), Innovative Learning recommends setting aside 20 minutes of class time to encourage student completion, and to post this announcement to Blackboard:

  • "As part of the focus on improving the student course experience at Humber Polytechnic, we are seeking your feedback on the courses in which you are currently enrolled. We believe this feedback will help us better understand the student learning experience. Your feedback is extremely important and we appreciate you taking the time to complete the SFQ. Please note that your responses and comments are anonymous. With each completed SFQ, you will also be invited to enter a prize draw; once you submit your SFQ, an invitation to enter the draw will be sent to your email.”

Please Note: While you can see how many students have participated, you cannot access the actual feedback responses until after the SFQ period closes. This ensures the integrity of the feedback process and maintains student confidentiality during the active collection period. You will receive actual feedback responses (anonymized) about 4 weeks into the next semester (expect to see the feedback at the end of January 2026).
