Choose Your Preferred Option

There are three options for registering with Accessible Learning Services: Transitional, Accelerated and Standard.

Transitional

• This option is best suited for learners who would like to receive accommodations without an intake appointment.
• Must self-study via instructional videos posted here to learn about available supports and services.
• Accommodations provided for this option are time and a half for tests/exams, use of a computer for tests/exams, and note-taking support.
• Receive an Accommodation Letter in 2 to 3 business days

Note: An appointment with an Accessibility Consultant is required before the start of the following semester to develop a personalized accommodation letter.

Accelerated  

• This option is best suited for learners who would have previously attended post-secondary and received academic accommodations.
• Short 30-minute appointment with an Accessibility Consultant to develop a personalized accommodation letter
• Must complete self-study via instructional videos posted here prior to appointment to learn about available supports and services.
• Wait time for an appointment: 5 to 7 business days

Standard

• This option is best suited for learners who are new to post-secondary education.
• Comprehensive 50-minute appointment with an Accessibility Consultant to develop a personalized accommodation letter.
• Discussion with an Accessibility Consultant to explore available supports and services.
• Wait time for an appointment: 5 to 7 business days
