Course Code: ASL 101
This introductory course is intended for students with no previous knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL). ASL is the language used by most deaf people in social situations. Students learn the language skills for basic daily communications: exchanging information, identifying others and giving simple directions. Topics are focused on personal information and the immediate environment. Grammar is introduced in context with an emphasis on developing questioning and answering skills.
