Off-campus

Athletics and Recreation

Recreation helps you integrate movement into your routine. Why? Regular physical activity benefits your academic and work performance, and your well-being, and helps you make connections to others in our community.

As a Humber Downtown student, you have access to two fitness centers minutes from campus, offered by our partner, Toronto Metropolitan University; the Recreation & Athletics Centre (RAC) and the Mattamy Athletic Centre (MAC). Together with TMU, we strive to provide safe and inclusive spaces where you can engage in a wide range of physical activities downtown.

Local Learning Resources

Having an accessible study space boosts focus, productivity, and collaboration. In addition to the spaces available on campus, there are some great options nearby campus! The Toronto Reference Library, the largest library in Canada, is a 7 min walk from campus. The Toronto Public Library network spans across not only downtown but the entire city; explore which branch is closest to you!

Food and Entertainment

From cheap eats in Chinatown to rooftop patios on Queen Street, downtown Toronto has it all. Grab late-night poutine at Smoke’s Poutinerie, sip coffee at Balzac’s, or relax in cozy lounges like El Furniture Warehouse.

For fun, catch live music at The Horseshoe Tavern, comedy at Second City, or discounted theater at Mirvish Productions. Cheer on the Raptors at Scotiabank Arena, belt out karaoke at Bar+, or explore festivals at Nathan Phillips Square. The city is your playground—go enjoy it!
