Podcasting has grown into a billion-dollar global industry — transforming how we tell stories, share ideas, and connect with audiences. Whether you're into music, politics, comedy, or activism, this course helps you turn your voice into something people want to hear.
Led by award-winning journalists from CBC — Canada’s national public broadcaster — this hands-on course introduces you to the creative and technical world of podcasting. You'll learn what makes a great podcast, how to find your voice, and how to shape stories that resonate. Along the way, you’ll build practical skills in interviewing, scriptwriting, audio storytelling, and editing, using industry tools and equipment.
You’ll also explore different podcast genres and formats to help find your unique style. By the end of the course, you’ll have a complete plan — and a podcast pilot ready to share.
As a bonus, you’ll also get the rare chance to visit the CBC headquarters in downtown Toronto for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at a real working newsroom. Read this article to hear what past students had to say about their experience.
Whether you're dreaming of a future in journalism or media, or want to start something creative and real, this course is the perfect starting point.
