In just two decades, podcasting has grown from a niche hobby to a billion-dollar industry, reshaping how we consume media. From news outlets to activists and brands, everyone’s jumping in to connect with a growing audience.

The “Becoming a Podcaster” course is designed and taught by award-winning journalists from Canada’s national public broadcaster, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). You'll explore the essentials of storytelling, scriptwriting, and episode structure while diving into the diverse genres, styles, and formats that make podcasts such a unique medium. Whether it's for education, entertainment, or activism, you’ll learn how to create content that resonates.

Throughout the course, you’ll master the best practices for developing and producing a podcast along with a solid plan to launch your own podcast pilot.

Plus, you’ll get the chance to visit the CBC for a behind-the-scenes look at how professional newscasts come together—and receive a podcast skills master class directly from an experienced podcaster.
