The Skills Canada National Competition was held in Winnipeg on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017. Humber students that placed during Skills Ontario were invited to compete in the national competition.
Students were asked to complete various skill-testing tasks based on their programs of study, and the students representing Humber didn’t leave empty-handed.
Derick Cheaney (pictured above – centre) won the gold medal in Mechanical CADD, and Bogdan Malynovkyy (left) and Mateusz Cwalinski (right) won the silver medal for Mechatronics. Dalton Mancuso (pictured below, left) was awarded the silver medal for Photography.
The qualifying competition for the World Skills International will take place in Edmonton 2018. The World skills International Competition will be held in Russia 2019.
