Dr. Tania Massa
Associate Dean, Applied Research and Innovation
I am pleased and delighted to announce that Dr. Tania Massa has accepted the position of Associate Dean, Applied Research and Innovation.
Tania joins us from the Ontario Centre of Innovation (OCI) and has assumed her duties as of April 5, 2021. Tania will help build applied research capacity at Humber by not only working with all of our faculties and Centres of Innovation, but by assuming a leading role in guiding applied research projects with industry partners. The former Director of Industry and Academic Programs and Program Administration for OCI, she was responsible for 40% of OCI’s portfolio that built public-private partnerships and early-stage commercialization efforts across emerging technology sectors. Tania was accountable for program administration across the program portfolios.
Tania is an innovation program management expert with extensive experience in designing, operating and strategically planning complex programs resulting in effective delivery, technology adoption, and economic and talent development. She has designed and implemented innovation procurement strategies that resulted in public-private projects, end-user engagement and economic outcomes.
Tania holds a PhD. from the University of Toronto in Applied Science and Engineering and a Bachelor of Applied Science and Engineering specializing in Bio-medical-Chemical Engineering and is a most welcome addition to our Research and Innovation team.
