The Healthy Changes Lifestyle Program is an innovative, collaborative approach for developing healthy lifestyles that incorporates the expertise of students, faculty and staff in the School of Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism. This comprehensive, 8-week program combines nutrition, culinary, and exercise skills to help people establish and sustain healthy lifestyles. It includes weekly workshops that focus on behaviour change, nutrition, and cooking, as well as a group fitness class that follows each workshop.

In alignment with Humber’s Internationalization Strategy, the School of Media Studies and Information Technology recently launched the Social Media Summer Program, a collaborative initiative with one of our partner institutions in Denmark, Business Academy Aarhus (BAAA). In the first program of its kind, students from BAAA joined domestic Humber students for two-weeks from July 17-28, at Humber’s Lakeshore Campus.

On July 13th the Engineering Software Skills Enhancement bridging program hosted an employer engagement event for Humber’s newcomer students to network with employers, experts and accredited professionals in the field of Engineering. Our Engineering Bridging Program empowers our already highly accomplished participants with additional training and connections in the Engineering sector that are directly relevant and reflect the industry's labour market needs in Canada.
The North American Indigenous Games is the largest continental sporting and cultural gathering of Indigenous people, welcoming more than 5,000 athletes, 2,000 volunteers and a number of spectators and dignitaries from across North America. From July 16 – 23, the City of Toronto will be the proud Host City to the 2017 North American Indigenous Games.
Along with York University, McMaster University and Durham College, Humber is proud to be host to the Athletes Village at North Campus Residence and two sporting events - Basketball and Volleyball.
Humber College is pleased to announce the launch of the Supply Chain Awareness and Employment Bridging Program for Internationally-trained professionals. While the program begins in August 2017, information sessions are now underway, and applications for the program are currently being accepted.
