“Elevate Your Career at Humber” – the first career expo organized in collaboration between Humber College and the Humber River Hospital – was a great success! Applied Research & Innovation Funding Opportunity: SSHRC Partnership Engage Grants

The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) has recently introduced Partnership Engage Grants to better address the short-term needs, challenges and opportunities of researchers and institutions. The grants will have a value of between $7,000 and $25,000, and strongly emphasize the relevance to, and involvement of, partner organizations.

Copyright Tip: You Can “Mash-Up” Content for Your Students

The “Mash-Up” exception was added to the Copyright Act in 2012 and allows users to combine two or more works in the creation and distribution of a new work. This means that you can combine and modify short excerpts, Internet content and music or video clips as long as the original sources are from the copyright holder and the sources are cited.
