Applications Now Open for the Cultivate Fund

Humber Applied Resarch & Innovation is now accepting applications for the Cultivate Fund. The Cultivate Fund supports Humber faculty and staff engaged in original, externally-focused research and innovation by providing modest amounts of funding for strategic research or innovation initiatives involving an industry, community or academic partner. Cultivate can fund course release for full-time faculty and a stipend for part-time faculty, among other project expenses.  Application Deadline: April 21, 2017 at noon

You Should Know... The Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Diversity

The Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Diversity’s (Centre) mandate is to address complaints based on the seventeen (17) grounds of discrimination as outlined by the Ontario Human Rights Code as well as Psychological Harassment/Bullying as outlined in Section 32 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

The seventeen (17) grounds of discrimination are outlined in the table below in random order:

Drop off your gently used household items and help make HRT’s Green Team’s WHITE ELEPHANT SWAP a success! What are we looking for?
  • Office Supplies: such as binders, notebooks folders, pens, pencils etc.
  • Kitchen Supplies: clean- gently used toasters, cutlery, pots, pans, etc.
  • Household Slightly Used Items: Artwork, Lamps, Flower Vases, etc.
  • Newer Electronic Devices: Printers, computer speakers, mouse, etc.

Changes Regarding Eligibility of Osteopathic Providers

Please note that our benefits provider, Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada conducts eligibility reviews of health providers and their affiliated associations on an ongoing basis. Sun Life no longer recognizes services by osteopathic providers registered with a number of osteopathic associations.
