Celebrate Humber Earth Month with Us

The Office of Sustainability is excited to celebrate Earth Month with a series of engaging events focused on sustainability, climate action, and environmental awareness. This year's theme is Green Skills, highlighting the knowledge and abilities needed for a sustainable future. 

Throughout April, students, staff, and faculty will have opportunities to learn, connect, and take meaningful action for a greener future by joining a wide array of events. 

Register for the events listed below and share with students and peers! 


Earth Month Opening Ceremony 

April 2, 12 - 2 p.m. at Lakeshore Campus, G Cottage 

Join the Office of Sustainability and First Year Experience to kick off Earth Month with eco-crafts, learn more about sustainable practices, and have delicious snacks.  


Repair Café Humber & E-Waste Collection 

April 3, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at North Campus, LRC 

April 8, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Lakeshore Campus, G Cottage 

Got a favourite jacket with a broken zipper? An old camera or record player that’s stopped working? Bring your broken items to Humber's first Repair Café organized in collaboration with the Library! We'll fix your items, have a great time, and learn some handy repair skills along the way. 

We will also be collecting e-waste and electronic devices donations in partnership with Let’s Get Together. 


Exploring Careers in Sustainability 

April 9, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. at North Campus, B101 

Interested in exploring a career in sustainability or learning how you can apply your skills towards a greener world? Join our workshop to explore green job opportunities, gain insights from the Career Centre, and learn how to align your skills with a career that makes a positive impact on the planet.

April 10, 2 - 3 p.m. 

Meet in front of Sustainability Office (E103) at North Campus 

Explore sustainability in action on our Sustainability Campus Tour! Discover innovative green initiatives, from energy-efficient buildings to waste reduction programs, and learn how our campus is leading the way in environmental responsibility.
