NAOSH Week

Tell us what you did for safety this week for a chance to win a prize!

It’s the North American Occupational Safety & Health week and we want to hear your stories! What have you done for safety this week? Big or small we want to know. Did you report a hazard, fix a problem, use your personal protective equipment, attend training, or label a container? How have you supported the Humber Community by protecting yourself or others?

“When I used a ladder today, I made sure I had the right sized ladder for the job. I inspected it before using it and didn’t go past the second to last rung.” - Allan Brown, Building Operator

Use the form below and send your submission to Health and Safety Services, healthandsafety@humber.ca by 5 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018. All submissions will be entered in a draw for prizes. Winners will be announced the week of May 21st.

What is NAOSH Week?

North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week is an international initiative to highlight the importance of health and safety in all aspects of our lives.  Beginning in 1997, NAOSH Week events and activities have been held in Canada, the United States and Mexico with the goal of focusing the attention of all individuals on injury and illness prevention in the workplace, at home and in the community. NAOSH Week is led by the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE).  More information about NAOSH Week can be found at naosh.ca or csse.org.

Remember, Humber’s Joint Health and Safety Committee works hard for you all year round!
