In order to better serve students and faculty, the North Campus Testing Services Office will be under renovation July 27, 30 and 31.

We will remain operational for student testing during this time, operating from a temporary space on the 3rd floor of the LRC for these three days. Operations will resume in our space on Wednesday, August 1.

To prepare for our renovation, we ask for help from our faculty partners, should you have a student testing over these dates:

If you are submitting a paper copy for a student to write between July 27 to 31, please flag it for us when you drop it off, as we will pull this test for our temporary space.  Alternatively, this is a great opportunity to use our online submission tool to submit tests and exams in soft copy, which means no paper, no drop off and no pick up! The online submission tool is appropriate for those tests and exams which can be completed on the computer in a word processing tool (Word, Excel) or using the electronic scantron. More details on the online submission tool, can be found at: humber.ca/student-life/testing-services/services-faculty/electronic-test-submission

Please note, we will not be open for faculty pickups July 27-31. Please pickup by end of day on July 26 or on August 1, when we reopen our North Centre.

We will have directional signage and staff available to direct students to the temporary testing space.

Should you have any questions, please connect with Leah Barclay x4696 or leah.barclay@humber.ca at your earliest convenience.

Humber’s Human Rights Policy and Complaints Resolution Procedure undergoes a review every five years. Regular review of the policy and procedures ensures that Humber's policy and procedures reflect current legislation changes and strengthens Humber’s human rights early intervention and resolution process. Most importantly, a review of Humber’s Human Rights Policy and Complaint Resolution Procedures provides the Centre with an opportunity to hear directly from you!

The Centre is inviting community feedback on the revised policy and procedures attached to this Communique message. Please forward any suggestions or queries to humanrights@humber.ca by Friday, July 20, 2018.

The Office of Sustainability is asking for your help.

This summer, we are creating an art installation to raise awareness about single-serve bottled water consumption. The artwork will be featured on campus and we are asking YOU to be a part of this process!

We have already collected more than 300 empty bottles, but would like the community to help us build our installation by donating single-serve empty bottled water containers of 1L or less.

We know that your summers will be full of events, barbeques and parties and many hosts will likely provide bottled water. While we always encourage sustainable choices, this summer we are encouraging you to bring in empties. This is a judgment-free zone!

Please help us by donating empty single-serving bottled water containers throughout July at the locations listed below:

North Campus

  • Gourmet Express
  • HRT Office, B105
  • Capital Development & Facilities Management Office, D134

Lakeshore Campus

  • Principal's Office, WEL 302
  • Registrar's Office, WEL 106

Thank you,

The Office of Sustainability
