The In-Service Teacher Training Certificate Program (ISTTCP) is a practical distance-education initiative offered through St. Clair College. It is offered to full-time faculty whose maximum salary step is currently below Step 21.

It is extremely important to note that this program will end as of August 30, 2019. Only those enrolled prior to this date will be allowed to complete the program. Further enrolment opportunities after this date are not anticipated.

Upon submission of documents confirming successful completion of the program, the faculty member will be entitled to an immediate step increase and their maximum step will be changed to Step 21.

As new participant enrolment will end as of August 30, 2019 (those enrolled prior to August 31, 2019, will be allowed to complete their studies), eligible faculty are encouraged to consider taking advantage of this professional development opportunity in the near future. Should any faculty decide to register, a copy of the registration confirmation should be forwarded to Kayla Moodie-Small, Human Resources Analyst (kayla.moodie-small@humber.ca, x4850).

A newly redesigned Communiqué website and newsletter will debut on August 26, 2019.

The website and daily email have been redesigned to be more user-friendly with compatibility across all mobile devices. A new feature is analytics tracking for the newsletter. We’ll be able to identify the most popular stories and what’s of interest to the Humber community and to you, the reader.

We are also excited to announce a new addition to the Communiqué called Employee News Network, or ENN. This is an online video channel for staff to share their own video announcements. We call it news for employees by employees.
