The Business School hosted the first ever Humber-Ningbo Alumni Reunion, on June 27, 2014, in Ningbo China. Students from all different graduating classes, some as far back as 1999, came together to catch up with former classmates, various administrators and faculty.

The Humber-Ningbo alumni spent the evening networking, reminiscing and celebrating their successes since graduation. The former students have all established strong careers with exciting roles including Art and Wine Importers and Directors of Human Resources. A number of graduates have also gone on to become successful entrepreneurs running their own businesses.

The reunion will become an annual event and we look forward to catching up with more alumni next year.

Humber Press launched two new children's books, Canada: Our Road to Democracy and Grandma and Grandpa’s Toronto Adventure, both written by Alister Mathieson, Humber's vice-president of Advancement and External Relations, and Marianne Ilass, and illustrated by Derek Douglas.

"Congratulations to Alister Mathieson (VP, Advancement & External Affairs) from his friends and colleagues at Humber Press on the massively successful launch of his two new books for children - 'Canada: Our Road to Democracy' and 'Grandma and Grandpa's Toronto Adventure.' The event was attended by dozens of readers and well-wishers, along with Humber president Chris Whitaker and an aide-de-camp to Lieutenant-Governor David Onley (who was, unfortunately, unable to attend in person). There was candy, art, conversation, and, of course, lots and lots of books getting signed by Alister and his co-creators. Great job, Alister!" - Humber Press

Alister’s royalties and net proceeds from the sales of both books will go towards the Blossom Student Award and Scholarship Fund, a newly established scholarship for students facing challenges from disabilities and mental illness.

To order a copy of either book please email humberpress@humber.ca

Canada: Our Road to Democracy (hardcover) - $24
Grandma and Grandpa’s Toronto Adventure (paperback) - $17.50

The book will soon be available on humberpress.com. Stay tuned!
