NOTICE OF HYDRO SERVICE INTERRUPTION- LAKESHORE CAMPUS-WEST
Service shutdown has been scheduled for:
Date: Sunday, June 5, 2016, 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Purpose: To perform annual high voltage preventative maintenance on College electrical infrastructure.
Location: All buildings located at Lakeshore Campus-West (A/B/AX/Residence/Bookstore/Athletics) will be affected. Emergency power will be available.
Lakeshore Campus-East (C/D/E/F/H/I/J/K/L/M/N Buildings), Centre For Justice Leadership/Fashion Institute/Art Academy/Community Medical Services Building/Humber Launch/Humber Arts & Media Studios will not be affected.
Staff, faculty and students will not be allowed entry into the College facilities during the hydro shutdown.

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Lidia Boccia, Administrative Assistant, Financial Services and Planning effective July 20, 2015.
Lidia, a graduate of Humber College from the Travel & Tourism program, has 23 years of work experience spanning from travel, banking to the construction sector; with 18 of these years spent with Royal Bank in various administrative support capacities.

Did you know Humber’s Human Rights Policy outlines Humber’s position as it relates to Freedom of Speech?
Provided below is an overview of Humber’s statement on Freedom of Speech located in section two (2); page three (3) of Humber’s Human Rights Policy:
- Faculty and students have the right to discuss and to debate culturally sensitive and controversial ideas and issues relevant to the curriculum, in an open and safe manner and without fear of reprisal.
- Faculty members are required to exercise sound professional judgment and conduct, and intellectual integrity during discussions, arguments, and disagreements, when conducted at the College. Faculty members are required to conduct discussions in an open, responsible and respectful manner.
- The persistent or vexatious use of demeaning or abusive comments or actions which have the effect of threatening, intimidating, demeaning or harming an individual or group, or is otherwise in excess of the reasonable limits on freedom of speech in a free and democratic society is unacceptable and cannot be justified by an appeal to “freedom of speech”.

Notice Of Power Shut Down – Emergency Power
North Campus Wide
Power shutdown has been scheduled for:
Saturday August 22, 2015 from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Purpose: Shutdown of emergency power for Preventative Maintenance.
Location: North Campus, excluding Residences and Learning Resource Commons.
Normal power will be available during this time. Buildings should not be occupied during these hours.
