On Tuesday, April 23, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., please plan to join Laurie Rancourt, Senior Vice-President, Academic as she presents the Case for Change webinar. This presentation will outline the current and ongoing academic transformation occurring at Humber.

Please access the Wednesday, May 8 session here. The Friday, May 10 session can be accessed here.

At the end of the webinar, we will be taking questions using Microsoft Forms. If you have a question or feedback for Laurie about the presentation, please submit it here. You may begin submitting questions once the webinar begins.

You may need to log in to Office 365. To do so, enter your id number@humber.ca. This should then take you to another login where you will be prompted to enter you regular login and password.

From there you should see an area called Case for Change – Support Staff.  In the space provided, type in your question and then click on the submit button. The moderator of the webinar will receive the question, and then provide it to Laurie during the webinar. Please keep your questions focused on the material covered during the webinar. Depending on the number of questions, we may not be able to get to all of them during the webinar.

You can also ask questions by submitting them to the Support Staff Union in advance of the session.

If you are unable to attend the April 23 session, additional webinars will be held on Wednesday, May 8 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and on Friday, May 10 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Please let your manager know in advance if you are interested in participating any of these sessions.

The webinars will be recorded should you wish to watch at a later date.

If you experience any technical difficulties such as logging into the webinar or accessing Microsoft Forms, please contact jason.mccourt@humber.ca.

We look forward to seeing you online and to updating you on the many exciting things happening within the Humber’s Academic Division.

This year, kids can celebrate Earth Day with a one-day Humber Arboretum Nature Camp on Monday, April 22!

With Earth Day falling on Easter Monday this year most schools will be closed, so the Centre for Urban Ecology is offering this special one-day camp for 2019. Kids aged 5-12 are invited to join Humber Arboretum staff for a day of ecological exploration that's full of seasonal, hands-on activities.

Earth Day Nature Camp will also feature a performance by Green Kids Inc, who will bring their show Wild Wild Wilderness to the Centre for Urban Ecology:

A story of one kid's accidental effect on a nearby forest and its creatures, performed by a single storyteller and armfuls of adorable puppets. Wild Wild Wilderness demonstrates the connections between habitat, wildlife, and human activity, and empowers young people to make positive choices towards protecting our environment.
