Join Humber staff and students in celebrating the holidays with our local community. The parade is on Dec 6th starting at 9:15am. Participants will walk in the parade waving to the crowd and handing out candies to children.

Checking In: Using Data to Support Strategic Enrolment Management
One of the key goals in Humber’s strategic plan is to optimize and differentiate our programs, credentials and services. Developing and implementing a strategic enrolment management (SEM) approach and framework to action this goal is an important initiative for the college, and our commitment to supporting student success is at the heart of these efforts.

Join us at Lakeshore Campus on Thursday, December 4th for a light lunch and to learn more about how the SEM process is developing at Humber. Hear about the early work of the three SEM Committees – SEM Data, SEM Student Pathways and SEM Student Success – and contribute to the conversation about the importance of using data to inform assessment, decision-making and ongoing investment in our programs and services.

We are pleased to once again offer the Coaching for High Performance Coaching session. This two-day program, December 4 & 5, will be facilitated by Garry Watanabe, Performance Coaching.

Audience: This program is intended for management staff in academic and administrative roles.

Coaching is a key leadership skill, particularly if we wish to build commitment, engage others, and get results. Since Humber began working with Performance Coaching and their team of superb facilitators in 2006, more than 200 managers have participated in the Coaching for High Performance program. This dynamic and unique experience has helped change the quality of conversations across the organization, between colleagues, and with students.

Program Objectives:
Participants will learn to:

  • Use a clear, concise coaching framework to stimulate high performance in others
  • Energize people and give clear, precise direction leading to results
  • Confront people who need to change behaviour and/or improve performance
  • Develop specific action plans to enhance personal coaching effectiveness
