Starting with an empty Black Box theatre, third year Theatre Performance students collaborate with second year Theatre Production students to animate and illuminate the space using the elements of voice, movement, sound and light as they invent a theatrical presentation based on poems from “Poetry in Transit.”
During each performance of this project (Nov 20, 21, 22), the audience will witness stages of a development process which is intended to transform poetry into theatre.
The students are mentored by Richard Lee (sound design, text analysis and dramaturgy), Laird Macdonald (lighting design), and Clare Preuss (movement and choreography).
