This three day event is too exciting to miss! We have brand new staff, state-of-the-art facilities and new initiatives. Learn about new teaching incentives, tools and strategies that can be implemented in your classroom.

Celebrations begin Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. in D225, North Campus with a presentation, followed by a few words from our president, Chris Whitaker. Our staff will be on-site to welcome and share with you the various resources available at the CTL.

The fun continues throughout the rest of the week. Drop by anytime on Thursday, January 23 and Friday, January 24, 2014 for more tours & live demonstrations.

We’ll use a short case to demonstrate the three-part method and then discuss how cases can be integrated into non-traditional disciplines. We’ll also talk about resources Humber has to support case teaching. Bring your questions, curiosity and enthusiasm for student-centered learning!

Education in the 21st century is changing and has changed. We are moving from teacher-centered to learner-centered modes and andragogical techniques. We are experiencing a movement from: face-to-face to digital engagement, synchronous to asynchronous, individual to peer-to-peer learning. Technology has increased access and can enhance the learning experience.

As we build our teaching and learning capabilities in these areas, we also need to re-build and revision our current and future learning spaces. This is an opportunity to talk about the classroom of the future.

Please be part of the re-visioning of our physical classroom space. Bring your creativity to these town hall meetings and contribute your ideas to the future design of classroom spaces at Humber College.
